==Background==
"Breakout" was written by Mikkel Maltha in 2011 and was recorded the following fall at Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark with producer Jacob Hansen. Along with a re-recording of the track "Gravity Hurts", the song features Danish singer Tine Midtgaard standing in for regular vocalist Christine Lorentzen while she took maternity leave from the band. Both songs will feature as bonus tracks on an upcoming reissue of Cryoshell's self-titled debut album, a release date is to be confirmed.
"Breakout" is also featured in the credits of the animated television series ''Hero Factory'' in episodes 8 and 9; the two-part story ''Breakout''.
